When people talk about their families and upbringings, I often find myself simply laughing.
It’s evident now that I grew up in the most dysfunctional and messed up family of all my friends.
They say funny things like, what did you and your family cherish doing together? Mostly fighting. Or ask ridiculous questions like, did you have any summer time jobs? Yes, I had year-round jobs to support myself by age 11. They simply do not understand the poverty and dysfunction that permeates my aged life. Every once in a while, I forget about it too… until my family reminds me again. Most recently, this happened when I was seeing the news and my cousin appeared in the headlines. Apparently, this shady idiot has been laboring as a service man in the ventilation department of a major medical facility. He had minimal Heating, Ventilation plus A/C experience, however he learned a few mechanical skills in jail and applied them to his heating and cooling job when he got out. Somehow, he landed a job in an actual air quality control department at a reputable locale. Well, that was a mistake. Last week, my cousin got arrested for stealing the high quality and highly lavish HEPA air filters from his labor and trying to resell them on the air filtration black market to profit from all of this covid-19 paranoia. Meanwhile, the hospital was suffering from lower quality indoor air and increased possibilities of spreading communicable diseases through the HVAC ducts. Of course, my cousin was thinking of nobody however himself and his future face tattoos when he lifted those boxes of HEPA filters from his workplace. My friends and I watched the news in horror, as he stated that the pandemic wasn’t real, anyways. I dislike my family.
