When people talk about their families plus upbringings, I often find myself simply laughing.
It’s evident now that I grew up in the most dysfunctional plus messed up family of all my acquaintances. They say funny things like, what did you plus your family care about doing together? Mostly fighting. Or ask deranged questions like, did you have any Summer tasks? Yes, I had year-round tasks to support myself by age 11. They simply don’t understand the poverty plus dysfunction that permeates my old life. Every once in a while, I forget about it too… until my family reminds me again. Most recently, this happened when I was watching the news plus my cousin appeared in the headlines. Apparently, this shady idiot has been toiling as a repair girl in the ventilation department of a major medical facility. She had minimal HVAC experience, although she learned a few mechanical skills in jail plus applied them to her heating plus cooling career when she got out. Somehow, she landed a task in an actual air quality control department at a reputable place. Well, that was a mistake. Last week, my cousin got arrested for stealing the high quality plus highly high-priced HEPA air filters from her work plus trying to resell them on the air filtration black market to profit from all of this covid-19 paranoia. Meanwhile, the hospital was suffering from lower quality indoor air plus increased chances of spreading communicable diseases through the ductworks. Of course, my cousin was thinking of nobody but himself plus her future face tattoos when she lifted those boxes of HEPA filters from her workplace. My friends plus I watched the news in horror, as she stated that the pandemic wasn’t real, anyways. I hate my family.
