I keep waking up in a panic sweat, jumping out of bed so I can get away from the overhead ductwork opening.
When I was setting up my room a few months ago, I tried to do it honestly intentionally. I mapped out the entire space and chose a deliberate spot for every item that I own. I was entirely proud with the final results, and even allowed myself to buy some new furniture to improve the space. I really love kneeling on my bed and looking at my kingdom with satisfaction. Well, at least I did… Until I looked up the other day and realized I had made a terrible mistake. Somehow, I had gone more than 2 weeks without realizing that there is an air vent stationed directly over the top of my bed, right where a human head would lay. Sure, this might seem like a wonderful thing when you are considering the delivery of ice chilly air conditioned air in the middle of summer. I don’t deny that I sleep honestly well with the cool, fresh air streaming on my face. However, I also cannot stop having eveningmares about pets and bugs residing in my air vent. I keep waking up in a panic sweat, jumping out of bed so I can get away from the overhead ductwork opening. You see, back when I was a kid I was once resting on the toilet when tiny spiders started dropping from the ceiling. I looked up, and realized that they were falling from the ductworks through the air vents and into my hair. Overhead vents have been one of my worst phobias ever since. At this point, my eveningmares have been so extreme that I’ve completely sealed the air vent and installed a window AC component in my room, instead.
